This fundraising tour was emailed to me via the Team web site, so I wanted to post on the forum for everyone to read.

I just wanted to inform you about the Ability Tour. It is a ride located in Lansing, on July 24, with the purpose of raising awareness for people with disabilities. I am hoping that you can help me publicize this event throughout your group.

The Ability Tour is an event that showcases the abilities of all people. Through assistive technology and accommodations, the cycling industry has created opportunity for all people to ride. This tour, and Peckham, brings that opportunity to our community.

The Ability Tour is an inclusive ride that allows riders of all abilities to challenge themselves on our 8 mile, 30 mile or 50 mile routes. SAG services and aid stations will be available along with educational materials and programs to help communicate our message that people with disabilities are just as ABLE as anyone else.

If anybody is interested in registering, it can be done online: [www.active.com]

If you have any questions you can check out our website (www.abilitytour.org) or contact me through email.

I hope you will consider riding with us.

Greetings from the U.P.
It was great seeing you guys at the SBF again this year and stronger than ever. Keep me in the loop regarding your possible race in TC. I'm sure we could round up a crew and come on down. The tour on Sunday sounds like a great way to end the road season before pulling out the cross bike. Maybe we can convince Colligan to come off the farm for awhile to get on the bike.
Thanks again for helping to make the race what it is. check out www.mqtphoto.com for some recent pics.
I want to give a huge shout out to all of the domestique's on the Hagerty Team and to say congratulations for all of your efforts. You are the Hincapie's and Jens's Voigt's of our team and everytime one of our riders finished strong you should be proud and share in the vicotry.

Anyone have any good info on riding carbon wheels in our area?

I currently run Neuvation (R28 Aero3's) and have been really happy with the performance/weight and customer service. You might be surprised to hear that I have actually had problems with some cracking on the rims and also a spoke pulling out of the hub, and still think this is a great wheel-set. Normally I would say these are crap and purchase something else, but the people at Neuvation have consistently replaced my wheels w/ rebuilt wheels at no charge. So in a world where things break all the time, finding a company that really stands behind their product is a rare find; therefore I recommend these to anyone.

On to the real question. I see some people have Carbon wheels that they run only on race day. What are the advantages? Lighter, stiffer, stronger and all of that? Has anyone had a bad experience w/ Carbon wheels? Do tell.
