Additional Information
2010 - RED RIDERS PROGRAM! Join the Red Riders Team and help to spread awareness of this terrible disease which affects over 23.6 million Americans to date. Any registered Tour rider who has diabetes can ride as a Red Rider and will receive a very special Red Rider bike jersey on the day of the event (a minimum of $150 must be met in order to be eligible to receive the jersey). This will help us to bring our mission to light on the day of the ride as our Red Riders on the course will be a visual reminder as to why we ride and who we are riding for. Red Riders will also have a special team tent set up at the start/finish line. All riders must check-in at our start/finish area at Brighton High School.
Check in and start times vary by route and are as follows:
75 & 100 miles (road): check-in: 6:00am start: 6:30am
50 miles (road): check-in: 8:00am start: 8:30am
25 miles (road): check-in: 9:00am start: 9:30am
5,9,14 miles (mtn bike): check-in: 9:00 am start: 9:30 am
10 miles (road): check-in: 10:00 am start: 10:30 am
Day of Event: Start your day off with complimentary breakfast provided by Kroger Pharmacy.
*NEW FOR 2010* We will be providing lunch on the course to all of our 75 and 100-miler riders! All riders will also be able to enjoy a delicious catered meal at the finish courtesy of Carrabba's Italian Grill of Novi. Relax and unwind when you finish riding by enjoying complimentary massage and live entertainment on our main stage. Our younger riders will be able to get their fill of fun in the new Animas Adventure Zone! We promise to provide a safe and memorable riding experience for all riders. Riders will be supported by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable team of volunteers at themed rest stops every 10-15 miles, featuring an array of rider-friendly food and beverages, and SAG (Support & Gear) vehicles along all routes.
