The wind rushing by my face, weaving through the challenging single tracks, open fields, muddy trails and formidable climbs, I love it all. The best feeling is not always being first, but knowing you tried your hardest and seeing room to improve.

There is so much I admire about Hagerty, I enjoy chatting with other teammates and hearing about their experiences in cycling, there is lots of great advice from many Hagerty riders and I intend to learn as much as possible.

One of my proudest moments was the 2015 Conquer The Village, coming in first out of all sport woman and being covered in the Commons mud was an inspiring moment I shall never forget.

I adore many other things including nordic ski racing and snowboarding in the winter, and wakeboarding, swimming, and running in the summer, I like to be creative in many ways and have played the piano for around seven years. I love everything I do and plan to cycle for the rest of my life.
Griffin Scwab2018-10-26T15:25:07+00:002024-03-27T22:13:32+00:00adminhttps://hagertycycling.com/blog/author/admin/https://hagertycycling.com/blog/griffin-scwab/
It's so much fun to bike and I love the technical signal tracks. I started racing for Hagerty a year ago, I like the nice teammates and wearing my kit.

My proudest moment was winning the MISCA State Championship last year and doing a jump to pass another racer.

I am ten years old and look forward to doing more races this year. I am also excited about going on a biking trip to Colorado. Some of my favorite things to do are, working with my dad, riding a dirt bike, snowboarding and wakeboarding.
Gavin Ryba2018-10-26T15:24:22+00:002024-03-27T05:04:53+00:00adminhttps://hagertycycling.com/blog/author/admin/https://hagertycycling.com/blog/gavin-ryba/
I am a freshman at Central High School and have been racing my bike since I was 9 years old. I like to do a few races a year, and just got a new mountain bike so I am looking forward to riding that this summer!

I also enjoy acting, marching band, and robotics.
Abigail Jean2018-10-26T15:23:26+00:002024-03-27T22:51:24+00:00adminhttps://hagertycycling.com/blog/author/admin/https://hagertycycling.com/blog/abigail-jean/
1.
2. What do you love about riding your bicycle for Hagerty?
I get to compete and participate in a sport that I really enjoy. Meeting new
people and getting a chance to ride with them during races and team training
rides for juniors.

3. What are some of your proudest moments or biggest accomplishments, on the
bike and in life?
Being on the podium for the races I participated at and getting faster during
the season.

4. Please tell us something about yourself and your life off your bike. I enjoy racing my bike for Hagerty cycling because it is very nice to be part of a team.

Racing in the M-22 Challenge was one of my proudest moments last year. At age 14, I placed number four in the 14-19 age group. Another highlight of 2015 was being on the podium in the Traverse City and Interrockin Duathlons.

In addition to racing for Hagerty cycling, I am on my school’s cross-country running team, cross-country skiing team, and track team. I also enjoy RC cars and snowmobiling
Ryan Durand2018-10-26T15:21:08+00:002024-03-27T05:05:20+00:00adminhttps://hagertycycling.com/blog/author/admin/https://hagertycycling.com/blog/ryan-durand/
What I like about riding my bike is the thrill of the speed and the dedication it takes to win a race series. Having a great team to celebrate the effort with is also pretty special.

My proudest moments were winning the USAC CX series, winning the slush cup on a CX bike I borrowed from Mr Beauchamp and Mr Bevier, and winning my first triathlon. I have learned that there are some dangers in racing, and how much dedication it takes to be a champion in attitude as well as on the bike, and that there is no trip without an adventure.

School, homework, workouts and eating are pretty much what I do. I love to run, and swim, but I love cyclocross. My 2016 goals are to compete in the Inter Rockin Triathlon, and try to make Nationals in Ohio. My other goal is to be on the top of the podium at conquer the village in the running event and the combination event. It`s all about trying your hardest.
Ian Durand2018-10-26T15:19:23+00:002024-03-28T13:03:18+00:00adminhttps://hagertycycling.com/blog/author/admin/https://hagertycycling.com/blog/ian-durand/
What I like most about riding my bike and racing is the speed and the community of riders. I love the teamwork and the feeling of the peloton. What I love most about the team is the support and mentorship of my other team mates, like Mr Worden who took me to Gratton and other races. I am thankful for the advice I get from Mr Web and others in the peloton even when I am suffering and dying after a mistimed chase on a Tuesday night ride. My proudest life moments are becoming road and cx state champion in the same year, skiing at nordic nationals, and being able to complete a Tuesday night ride with the peloton. I can`t explain why I love to go for certain things I just want to give certain things a try and make friends along the journey. My goals for 2016 include defending my state jerseys and trying to qualify for triathlon nationals in Ohio. I am a life guard and swimming safety instructor at the YMCA, I love nordic skiing, as well as tinkering with mechanical devices.
Arielle Jean2018-10-26T15:18:35+00:002024-03-27T05:05:28+00:00adminhttps://hagertycycling.com/blog/author/admin/https://hagertycycling.com/blog/arielle-jean/
What do you love about riding your bicycle?

I enjoy riding and spending time with my family. It’s always fun to go and explore a new trail.

What do you love about riding your bicycle for Hagerty?

I like hanging out with my teammates on Wednesday nights during the junior rides and at the races.

What are some of your proudest moments or biggest accomplishments, on the bike and in life?

Being able to be on the podium at the races I participated in and many of the times being the only girl in my age group. Participating in Junior Olympics for cross country and going to the Nationals in 2014 down in South Carolina.

Please tell us something about yourself and your life off your bike. What are your hobbies, what do you do for your work, tell us something about yourself that we don’t know.

I enjoy Nordic skiing, running, reading, art, and being with my friends. I am also able to speak Chinese.
Logan Keely2018-10-26T15:17:40+00:002024-03-28T00:22:34+00:00adminhttps://hagertycycling.com/blog/author/admin/https://hagertycycling.com/blog/logan-keely/
Some of my favorite things about biking are the challenges you face while riding on single track, single track riding requires a lot of small changes and it requires you to be constantly thinking about the next set of difficulties. This type of riding is my favorite because it is a very active, also because it never allows you to become bored.

The reason I like riding with Hagerty is because there are lots of people on the team who are very encouraging and supportive. It’s also nice to be a part of such a successful team, with a good reputation and a large number of members.

One of my proudest accomplishments in biking is finishing the iceman in 2015 with a time of 2.38.01.

This race was done on my fatbike, which I have grown to love over the past year and a half. I have also completed 10 other races (in 2015) on the same bike.

When I’m not racing bikes, I like to drive r/c cars, I like to go skiing, I also like fishing, hunting, hiking, and boating.
Braiden Voss2018-10-26T15:15:30+00:002024-03-27T05:05:36+00:00adminhttps://hagertycycling.com/blog/author/admin/https://hagertycycling.com/blog/braiden-voss/
I started off on two wheels when I was 2 years old on a Yamaha pw50. I enjoyed racing motocross from the age of 4 to the age of 10. Within that six years I won two state championship series. I stopped racing motocross to explore different sports and see what else i could try. The next summer I was invited to join the Hagerty cycling team and found I had a passion for cycling. The team helped me explore new trails, learn lots of different racing skills, and encourage me to keep pushing myself. The hard work pays off as I saw myself getting on the podium and overcoming my expectations. I am grateful for my Hagerty teammates that have contributed in many ways to my growth as a cyclist.

I'm eager to begin the upcoming cycling season and push my limits as a Hagerty cyclist!
