This is my very first year on the Hagerty Cycling Team, and I have been blown away with amount of support and encouragement I have seen from this group in such a short amount of time!
I first fell in love with bikes about 5 years ago after completing the 300 mile Wish-A-Mile tour with some co-workers. I did this on a $200 hybrid bike from Wal-Mart, so needless to say I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I thought it would be a one-time thing- something fun to do for a good cause. But the energy and excitement was contagious, and I haven’t stopped riding since. It has become my #1 therapy, both mentally and physically.
Up to this point, my riding experiences have been more casual than competitive. I have attended several races a year as a spectator to support my fiancé, Kyle, but have only raced a handful of times myself. This was partially due to a torn ACL that took me 3 years to finally get fixed. Now that I’m recovering from the surgery, I am beyond excited to really push myself and see just what these legs are capable of. Move over, Chloe Woodruff. Here I come! Hey, a girl can dream can’t she?
Other than cycling, I also enjoy snowboarding, wakeboarding, boating, hiking, eating tacos, and spending time with my fiance and my Puerto Rican rescue pooch, Kevin.
