I love biking. I feel most alive when I’m flying through the woods on my mountain bike. Just ask, I’m the one that is known to smile all the time. My favorite is mountain biking, but I also enjoy gravel, cyclocross and fat bike races. I hop on my road bike for training, group, just for fun or events like the M22 Challenge.
I am so incredibly proud and grateful to be a member of our Hagerty Cycling Team. This family of cyclists is an amazing group of classy athletes. We continue to support and challenge each other to be our very best. We enjoy the energy, camaraderie and friendships. We inspire each other and continue to build knowledge to further develop us as athletes and kind citizens. We give back and volunteer for local nonprofits organizations in our community.
Through cycling in our awesome and inspiring community, I have made many new friendships, the kind of people that you hope to be friends with for life. I also love other adventure sports like stand up paddleboarding (SUP) - for fun and the occasional race, boating, swimming, nordic skate skiing, alpine skiing, camping, hiking, roller skating, ice skating and walking my dogs.
This year, for me, it’s about trying new races, getting faster, more climbing, more rides, increasing technical skills on the single track and having a ton of fun training. “Gears not Brakes”. I had a blast at the 2016 Shorts Fat Bike Race Series and plan to get into more fat bike riding/racing. My first Barry-Roubaix was challenging this Spring. I’ll be back for the X20, a few fall races on the horizon and definitely gearing up for Iceman, my 3rd year.
